Vegan life

Vegan life - Physiofinder

How can you live a vegan life?

In order to implement a vegan diet , many people think that they have to give up many eating habits and only eat fruits and vegetables.

That's wrong!

Depending on whether you have previously eaten a vegetarian diet or not, it is a good start to try to eat vegan as much as you can. For example , animal products can be replaced with plant-based products .

In addition, many “normal” dishes can also be prepared in a vegan version using substitute products .

We list below which typical animal products can be replaced with which vegan ones:

Eggs

  • Aquafaba (substitute for whipped egg whites)
  • Tofu + Kala Namak
  • Chia / flaxseed eggs
  • applesauce
  • Bananas
  • soy flour + water

Meat

  • Tempeh
  • tofu
  • Soy meat
  • Pea meat
  • Seitan
  • Jackfruit

Cheese

  • nutritional yeast
  • Cashew cheese
  • Almond cheese
  • Vegan cheeses

butter

  • Alsan
  • vegan margarine
  • Coconut oil
  • vegan yogurt
  • vegan butter

milk

  • Almond drink
  • Oat drink
  • Soy drink
  • Rice drink
  • Hemp drink

Honey

  • maple syrup
  • Agave syrup
  • rice syrup
  • Dried fruits
  • Yacon syrup

In addition, the myth often arises that a vegan diet is expensive. Here, too, we find that with good planning you can eat at least as cheaply as "normal" or vegetarian.

For example, you can fill your plate generously with 50% vegetables and fruit . You can use stored products such as legumes, grains or similar at 40% and then you are left with additional extras such as cheese substitutes, milk substitute products or other “luxury items” at 10% .

So you have a vegan savings strategy!

So, are you sure you really need the following - all of it?

- You need proteins , not meat!
- You need calcium , not milk!
- You need Omega-3 , not fish!
- You need nutrients , not the life of an animal

You can approach the vegan diet step by step. This is in no way harmful. :)
