Increase motivation

Increase motivation - Physiofinder

Where can I get more motivation in everyday life?

In our everyday situations today, we often lack self-motivation. In the following article, we will give you a few tips and tricks on how you can increase your motivation.

There are two types of motivation. Firstly, there is intrinsic motivation, which comes from within, and secondly, there is extrinsic motivation, which comes from outside.

Internal motivation is your own will, you want to achieve or avoid something and then act according to your will. As a rule, when you have such intrinsic motivation , you are particularly motivated and want to achieve things.

External motivation is about external influences. At work, for example, this is when you receive praise from your boss or when you want to avoid trouble. In the long run, extrinsic motivation is less good for your body than intrinsic motivation. Because if you are always dependent on praise or recognition, you make yourself dependent on other people.

Three tips on how to increase your self-motivation:

Strengthen your inner, positive attitude!

Set realistic goals and look at them positively. Try not to see the negative things, but rather list the positive things in your head. Our performance is determined by our psyche. If we say from the start that we will never manage it without trying, that is a real motivation killer. With a positive attitude, we will be even happier at the end when we have achieved things.

Look for your goal!

As a rule, goals that we have to motivate ourselves to achieve are goals that we are happy about in the end. Of course, there are always goals that are not necessarily "nice", but we usually do them anyway for some positive aspect. So always think about your goal, if you don't motivate yourself in the end, the disappointment will be even greater. If you lack the motivation to do this, you can always ask yourself the question: Why do I even want this?

Set small, measurable goals!

There are always days when you are simply unmotivated and in the rarest of cases it is easy to pull yourself together and motivate yourself. If you set yourself small goals, you will quickly receive positive feedback. For example, if you decide to change your diet but you think you can't motivate yourself to give up sweets, then write yourself a shopping list and every time you manage to go a day without sweets, you can eat something sweet as a reward. At some point you might no longer feel like it or look for a "healthy substitute" and you will be happy.

We also have a book recommendation for you. It's about success in life and your own attitude towards it. Really well written and a real heartfelt recommendation.
