BUNI Coffee not only brings excellent coffee grown on the volcanic soils at the foot of Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, to Europe, but is also actively committed to sustainable trade and supporting local coffee farmers in Tanzania.
Fair Coffee from Tanzania: "From the Cherry to the Cup"
The Berlin brand supports 100% fair trade coffee , directly from the farmer, and works closely with CHOICE Coffee from Moshi , at the foot of Kilimanjaro. This partnership is more than just a business model - the founders of BUNI Coffee met Rose Swai and her son William Nanyaro in June 2019 through a GIZ (Society for International Cooperation) project in Tanzania. During a ten-day trip to Moshi, they finally got an insight into the cultivation of the coffee plantations, the harvesting, drying, roasting and classification of the coffee beans and thus got to know the direct producers and the intensive work steps that are required to produce such great coffee.
This personal experience with the people who grow this wonderful, delicious coffee, the knowledge of the diverse work process and the social responsibility towards these people, has prompted us to start direct marketing here. (www.bunicoffee.com)

The coffee products
BUNI's special coffee products are characterized by careful processing and unique flavors . The range includes the varieties "Kilimanjaro" (100% Arabica) , which impresses with fruity, chocolatey and nutty aromas, and "AraBusta" , a strong blend of 70% Arabica and 30% Robusta, which is perfectly balanced.
By purchasing BUNI Coffee, customers contribute to the economic development of small producers and support a local initiative by proud Kilimanjaro coffee farmers . Thanks to close cooperation along the entire value chain - from cultivation to roasting - a large part of the income stays with the local farmers. BUNI Coffee therefore not only offers first-class enjoyment, but also makes a positive social contribution.
